CLOSER LOOK: REDNOSEDOLPHIN

We wanted to bring the people at Studio Malm closer to you, so we started a short blog series called “Closer Look”. We interview people – resident artists, guest artists and many more – that make Studio Malm the amazing place it is! 🙂

This time we’re going to introduce Rednosedolphin to you. He is newest member of Studio Malm, and also a resident artist specializing in neo traditional tattoos.

You have been a part of the Studio Malm family since February. How have you liked being with us so far?

I have enjoyed my time a lot. The atmosphere at the studio is a great mixture of professionalism and expressionism. For everyone else, Studio Malm may look as a regular tattoo shop. But I see the shop’s front door as a gateway to Narnia of the tattoo world. Every day is different and magic is created. I absolutely love it here! 🙂

What do you like most about Studio Malm and the Studio Malm family?

I know it sounds like a cliche, but Studio Malm feels like a second home. I’m not the kind of person who gets used to new environments quickly. But the people here made it happen somehow. It feels like I’ve been a part of this little twisted family for a very long time, and I’m so grateful for that! Torsten and Kätlin have the greatest icebreakers, so you don’t need to shy away, and can joke around. And the Shop Manager Erika is the power that keeps the machines running. Working here is a dream come true for sure – could not ask for better in any way.

We know you have quite eccentric ideas and thoughts, for example you thought chickens mate with their feet. Do you have any similar ideas?

I remember saying that chickens dance with their feet. In the grass. After sunset… to create thunder. But for sure there’s more ideas & thoughts wherever that chicken idea came from.

Is there anything you would like to say to the readers?

I’m no doctor, but I strongly recommend getting tattooed at Studio Malm. No matter if it’s your first tattoo or the one that’s not the last. We have the absolute best realism artists here in Estonia – Kätlin and. And if you are not looking for realism – look me up.

Lastly, I am thanking all my customers who have been visiting, the ones thinking about visiting & the ones that just keep on visiting. Thanks & see all of you soon! 🙂
